Well, for anyone who has yet to hear the news, StarCitizen has officially released 2.0 for ALL players! New content includes the Constellation, Retaliator, FPS, a new large map and missions! Hope to see you all on sometime!
Aww yeah! Got to fly a Constellation for the first time! (Even though it was only for about 5 minutes before the game crashed.) Port Olisar itself is not spectacular, but the map around the station? God-like! Cannot wait for a stable version!!
Dear Princess Luna, today I learned that my laptop can run a great deal of games I thought it couldn't, as well as the importance of updating drivers so they are not a year out of date. Sincerly, an idiot. (Scootaluna)
IF it is even a graphics card issue, I will likely use it as an excuse to get a better card. XD Problem is, I just don't have a lot of money to spare at this moment. Was saving up for an early EFNW package.
I was actually quite happy with my Radeon HD 8950 card. (Almost $400 to replace...) And it seems like everything else is working fine. I just have to have someone else check it out, as the only other computers at my house are crappy ones with only
[link] ) If that's still not cheap enough then I'd go for the reference sapphire 290 [link] for $220 - $20 rebate - those other deals as well. (It'll run hot, not overclock as well, overall a great deal but a bit worse)
For gpus I'd recommend a r9 390. Same price or cheaper than nvidia's 970 and a little better performance. [link] $289.99 - 20 (rebate) - 25 (visa checkout [link] - 25 (AMEX discount if you have an amex card )
Oh and R4, still no integrated sadly from the amazon listing. Try unplugging everything (except cpu). Then reseat ram, plug back in fans (make sure cpu fan is installed), reseat gpu, plug power cables back in. Then try booting with just those bare
It is as if there is no card in the computer at all. (Despite the card 'spinning up' and all. At this point I am not sure it is drivers. Could either be a fault with the card... Or worse... The motherboard...
I have actually already tried a lot of fixes. I have reseated the card, moved it to the other available slot, made sure power was getting to the card, and reset the cmos. After all that, I still have absolutely no visual display to work with.
If you can't get to bios then try try all the pcie slots on the motherboard and a different gpu (If you already have a good card it might be worth getting a junk card that you know works to see if it actually is the gpu at fault)
Ah yeah if it's the same cpu as on newegg then it's a gen 1 i5 without integrated graphics. Well first reseating the gpu, then try reseting cmos on the motherboard. If you can get to bios but just not windows then just reinstall windows.
Went to update my video card drivers. Was all going fine, then when I tried to restart, my desktop starting beeping that the video card has a problem. I would probably be able to fix it... Could I see anything. -_-
